Jewel House – 150 reception, 500 for private views
Boasting the globe’s most valuable collection of jewels, 30 million people visit the Tower of London to marvel at the centuries worth of relics and treasures that reside here. Available for both evening hire and pre-opening viewings, this unique museum-style space is complimented by the enormous Hall of Monarchs, where most hosts choose as a reception space.
The world-famous Regalia has been added to the display in 2014 to mark Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee, placed carefully alongside St Edwards Crown, which was made in 1661. A truly fascinating venue with more grandeur than any other in London, this glittering array of diamonds makes for an elegant setting indeed.
The White Tower – 250 for reception, 80 for dinner
Available for evening hire only, this incredible space takes up the iconic central building and features the Tower’s most recognisable architecture.
The King’s Great Hall comes to life after dark with sparkling lighting features, cleverly placed decorative artifacts and eerie suits of armour that once belonged to kings, and your guests can enjoy beautiful city centre and Thames views from the very top of this magnificent building.
Martin Tower – 12 for private dining
This intimate and secluded room was once the storehouse for the precious Crown Jewels. Still home to a few priceless pieces (over 12,000 of them in fact) that are stylishly displayed in glass cabinets, you and your guests can enjoy a luxurious bespoke menu in this romantic and exclusive dining room. The space also benefits from a sheltered patio terrace for an al fresco drinks reception with fantastic views of the Tower itself.
Royal Regiment of Fusiliers – 80 for reception, 70 for dinner, 40 for lunch
Usually used as an exclusive meeting space for The Fusiliers, we at Function Fixers can also book this room for corporate and private events in the evenings all year round. Majestic oil paintings and stunning views of The White Tower and the Waterloo Barracks make this a glorious setting for formal occasions, with a real sense of history, nobility and aristocracy. Rare and beautiful objects such as salvaged assets from famous shipwrecks and intricate historical uniforms make for excellent talking points, and there’s plenty of versatile floor space for more unusual layouts.
St Thomas’ Tower – 40 for reception, 20 for dinner
These 700-year-old chambers were the residential quarters at The Tower for many centuries. The venue has been careful not to modernise this space beyond necessity, and the virtually unrestored hall provides a dramatic setting for events, particularly at Halloween or for themed occasions. Dinners are served in the king’s bedchamber, with its colourful walls, huge fireplace, ancient four-poster bed and the little ‘chapel over the water’ – a charming room that used to directly overlook the Thames, and was designed to offer peace and solace to royalty staying at this feared and significant building. Ironically, this suite also spans the entire width of the ill-famed Traitor’s Gate…
Wakefield Tower – 80 for reception, 40 for dinner
This spectacular vaulted room was part of Henry III’s lodgings and private audience chamber. It features an exact replica of his canopied throne, a chapel area with stained glass windows, and during summer months, this space allows access to the Wall Walk – a totally unique structure which offers views of the White Tower, Thames, city centre and Tower Bridge.
New Armouries – 300 for reception, 240 for dinner, 150 for lunch
Available for both day and evening hire, this modernized space offers a ideal blank canvas space for banqueting, conferences and large-scale receptions. Commercial standard kitchen facilities make it a convenient choice for self-catering events, and a comprehensive range of AV equipment offers technological flexibility for presentations.
Original wooden joists and pillars are met with a shining contemporary bar area, and modernist white seating creates a stylish contrast between old and new. There’s also a lift down to this space, which is ideal for wheelchair access and the transportation of any sets or props you wish to use, and there’s also direct access to several outdoor areas that your guests are free to explore.
Meeting Suite – 100 in Main Events Space, 16 inBoardroom and 6 in Syndicate Room
These second-floor rooms are light, modern, airy and adaptable – perfect for braded corporate events. Fully AV equipped and also offering data projection facilities, there are also a number of partitions that can be erected quickly and easily so you can create your own environment according to your requirements. As a memorable break out activity, your delegates can also have full access to all the public areas during your time here, and private tours from well-read, knowledgeable wardens are also available at a very reasonable price.
