Bath’s most beautiful and historic wedding venue

,

Bath is a city steeped in Roman history and invention, and has 5,000 listed buildings.  The city has been prosperous for centuries, with the Romans and the Georgians particularly focusing on transforming the building, and accommodating the townspeople to standards rarely seen today.   The Romans discovered the only hot spring in England here, and made the most of it by building opulent and sumptuous bath houses, which have been attracting visitors ever since.

The Pump Room, built in 1795, adjoins beautifully onto The Roman Baths to create a wondrous mix of the Georgian-meets-Roman style that is so typical of this city.  A world renowned restaurant by day, The Pump Room can now be hired as a wedding or corporate events venue.  Drinks can be enjoyed amongst the gently steaming, incredibly tranquil and ancient pools, decorated occasionally by elegant statues – all lit by gentle and atmospheric lighting.  There is also a staging area here for live music complete with dance floor, and it is a novel and romantic experience indeed to dance the evening away within the aged walls, which were originally designed to house the social hub of the community that still thrives and glitters today.

Your guests can enjoy a delicious meal in the grand Pump Room, which is a white and sparkling example of lavish Georgian architecture.  Huge chandeliers, a decorated ceiling and a kind of understated wealth await you here, and this truly is a novel and magical place to hold your event.  The typically British architecture, set against the ancient stone arches built in true Italian style almost 2,000 years ago is really awe-inspiring and enchanting.  The simpe addition of subtle decorations and some cleverly placed candles and lighting make this into a fairy-tale, almost mythical space.  A site visit is highly recommended for the opportunity to have a nose around this extraordinary and totally unique venue – contact us to arrange your visit!
