The best affordable boutique hotel in Bristol

The Rodney Hotel is one of the best venues for boutique, affordable overnight accommodation in Bristol.  Situated in a fantastic location, this friendly and welcoming hotel is a short walk from Brunel’s famous Suspension Bridge, and in the heart of Clifton Village – a stunning historical town with a lively atmosphere and plenty of amenities.   The Rodney offers excellent room rates and food/drink prices, all presented by a friendly and knowledgeable team of staff.

Within a mile of The Rodney, you’ll find a fantastic range of entertainment and attractions, including the Cabot Circus shopping centre, At-Bristol, the Arnolfini Modern Art Gallery, The Bristol Hippodrome, Brunel’s SS Great Britain and of course, the city’s famous Waterfront.  Transport is also well taken care of as Bristol has a good (and constant) network of trains, buses and cabs, and The University of Bristol is just a 5 minute drive away.

This is a small but perfectly formed hotel, offering just 31 rooms.  The rooms are, however, spacious and well appointed – with excellent facilities for both clients on business and families on pleasure, including mini-bars, tea and coffee, flat screen TVs, toiletries and WiFi.

The hotel is also home to The No 4 Restaurant, which has won AA rosette awards for its dinners and seasonal menus.  An enticing range of Mediterranean and Classic French cuisine is all prepared using locally sourced ingredients, and all guests are entitled to a 15% discount on the already inexpensive yet good quality menu.  The Restaurant itself has been modernised extensively, but still retains many of its original Georgian Townhouse features, including a working open fireplace and tall sash windows that cover all of one wall in the room, looking out over the attractive sculpted front garden.
