Fantastic, adaptable venue for weddings in Kent – The Hop Farm

 Hop Farm in Kent hosts a huge array of events, functions and festivals all year round.  This family-orientated place prides itself on its excellent facilities for summer parties, and is no stranger to welcoming large crowds and entertaining on a more diverse level.  As such, the facilities for weddings here have been designed with flexibility in mind, and this has to be one of the best venues in the south of England for an Ethnic Wedding.

Available for dry hire so you have the option to bring in your own specialist catering, The Dray Marquee and Dray Suite offers you 360 square metres of blank canvas, stylish, minimalist yet fully-facilitated space, ideal for lavish and colourful wedding receptions on a grand scale.  Due to licensing laws, it remains the duty of Hop Farm to supply your beverages, although very reasonably priced package deals are available to suit just about any requirement. 

The stunning English countryside surrounding this permanently grounded marquee reaches for miles around and offers you fantastic photograph opportunities, as well as giving you a sense of seclusion and privacy.  The other huge advantage of being set away from the villages and towns in the area is you can make as much noise as you please.  As a matter of fact, Hop Farm plays host to an enormous annual folk music festival in the summer months, so this really is a fantastic venue for those wishing to involve live entertainment and a ‘vocally enthusiastic’ guest list!

The marquee itself has a solid wooden floor, and a white canvas interior.  It’s immediately brought to life with a few simple decorations and some floor lighting, and offers you a totally adaptable space.  A whopping total of 275 people can be seated for dinner here, with more than enough room for a dance floor, buffet (if you wished, although table service is an option), and a grand entrance for the bride and groom. 

There’s a stunning gazebo on a beautifully manicured lawn within the grounds here that has been licensed for civil ceremonies (one elegant indoor room at the Farm also boasts this facility), and provides an idyllic backdrop for your big moment.  On a clear day (fingers crossed) between April and September, you can have your ceremony here before leading your guests up the paved path to your reception space. 

If you’d prefer to use Hop Farm’s own expert caterers, there are several package deals on offer to you – all incredible value for money and covering the essentials needed for a successful wedding.  Just £6,995 will get you and 50 guests your room hire for both day and evening, alcoholic and soft drinks, table linen plus chair covers and other decorations, a 3 course wedding breakfast with coffee, mints and canapés for the evening, a disco, table plan and cake stand with  knife – plus lots and lots of other thoughtful extras.  This really is an incredible price for such a beautiful and accomplished wedding venue!
