Fantastic blank canvas exhibition space in Central London

,

The Clerkenwell Gallery has established a good reputation in the industry as being a reliable, practical and versatile space for artists to showcase their work in London.  Originally a townhouse, this space has been purposefully renovated into a stunning blank canvas space, able to hold works of art in a neutral and forgiving environment.

The ceilings are 4m high, so large scale works are easily displayed.  The dark hardwood floors are sturdy and scratch resistant, and many of the rooms here feature exposed beams – providing a perfect solution to securing and stabalising your taller or larger pieces.

A useful and well-planned feature of this venue is a small but highly practical kitchen, which is easily concealed behind a white curtain.  While you certainly couldn’t operate a full-on canapé reception or meal from this kitchenette, it is perfect for providing a steady stream of hot and cold drinks, and has a small fridge in which to store nibbles, milk etc.  There are also mugs and cups already available, which come included in the hire price.  There is also a toilet, which has been recently refurbished with mode and stylish commodities.  For evening receptions, there is a fully functioning bar on site, which can be hired (along with staff) at very reasonable rates – as well as a cleaning team to help you pack up after what we’re sure was a successful event!

The lighting rigs here are perfect for showcasing paintings, sculptures and free-standing pieces.  Completely adjustable, it is made up of several halogen lightbulbs, and additional flood lighting systems are also readily available for daylight effect during an evening showing.  If you choose to hold your exhibition during the day, however, the windows here are large and carefully placed to give optimum light from dawn until dusk.

The two display areas are set over two floors, one offering 538 sq, ft of floor space and 196 sq. ft of wall hanging space, and the other providing 247 sq. ft.  of versatile floor space.
