Gorse Hill is a beautiful Surrey wedding venue, set in 17 acres of fields, secret gardens and rolling hills. Easily accessible from London and the surrounding areas, this welcoming and quaint manor house was built in 1912 and is filled with charming Edwardian design features. The façade of the house itself is grand without being imposing, and makes an impressive backdrop for photographs.
Inside, there’s an elegant room with tall windows overlooking the grounds, high ceilings and sophisticated original detailing, providing the perfect space for a wedding breakfast and reception.
Function Fixers are offering you the chance to book this spectacular venue for a winter wedding at just £60 a head. For this modest price, you will be invited into the venue on a red carpet to be greeted by your guests – all of whom will have a glass of mulled wine, sparkling wine or Pimms. Then, you will all be seated for a 3-course meal of seasonal and festive produce, including tea, coffee and mince pies, all of which can be washed down with half a bottle of wine each. Then, toasts will be made with another glass of sparkling wine for everyone.
In terms of décor and personal touches, your £60 a head will also include an impressive centre piece for the head table, and ivory chair covers with the coloured sash of your choice.
Then, at the end of the evening, the happy couple can retire to the private, romantic and utterly charming Bridal Suite – which features an enormous bed, far reaching views and a luxury bathroom.
It goes without saying that this is outstanding value for money – and Function Fixers can even arrange for you to have a FREE menu tasting ahead of your big day at Gorse Hill! You’ll be able to soak up the atmosphere in the restaurant, which is the room you’d use for your wedding breakfast. Then, you can retire to the lounge for a cup of tea and scope out where you’d have your ceremony (the maximum capacity in the lounge is 35 people in theatre style). If it’s a nice day, you have the option to take your drinks out of the lounge doors and on to the terrace, then stroll around the grounds to find the best spots for photo ops.
It’s possible to book Gorse Hill for exclusive use, with a maximum capacity of 90 being seated for dinner. 80 bedrooms are available on site, but with this venue’s excellent location in close proximity to Woking, there is an abundance of accommodation available just a short taxi ride away. Trains go to London until around half past midnight from the mainline station here, and it’s also easy to go south towards Portsmouth until nearly 1am.
Call us now to take advantage of this brilliant winter wedding deal taking place between November and January 2015.
