This purpose-built space can house any kind of performance art, from the old to the new, and has a vast expanse of space for musical concerts and artistic displays of all kinds. The venue boasts a workshop center, educational seminars for artistic and business-based functions, and above all gives performance companies, both professional and amateur, the facilities necessary to develop and perform creativity of the highest standard. This is a venue with a professional atmosphere.
The acoustics here are fantastic, with the capability to engulf your audience within the sound and be immersed by it. The Grand Piano, of course, is a permanent fixture, as well as all the power sockets and lighting rigs one’s heart could desire.
For dancing, the sprung floor is made by Harlequin Floors, famous the world over from providing Olympic and professional surfaces. There is 400sq. m. of raised, open stage space, and the floor attracts dance companies from across Europe – perhaps even further afield – based on its capabilities and size.
The venue work closely with local colleges, universities and academies to deliver the highest standard in lessons and leaing, and the broad spectrum of education of offer means the space has an atmosphere of implanted wisdom and culture around it. The auditorium can hold 300 hundred people in it’s tiered seating, and of course, dressing rooms and other practicalities have been carefully thought out by this arts and music venue.
The venue is situated just a 5 minute walk from Canary Wharf underground, and has a bar and restaurant.
