Stoke Park Country Club is famous with golfers throughout England for its picturesque Championship course, which takes up almost 300 acres of beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside. This course was designed by Harry Colt in 1908 and has since seen many a prestigious tournament, as well as being the setting for the legendary golfing battle in 007’s 1964 film, Goldfinger.
Along with this stunning 27 hole course, there’s also a large putting green, a 5* Swing Studio that is adorned in the very latest in sporting technology, and a team of PGA professionals to guide you through your experience. The Daily Mail, 59 Club and Golf Club are just a few of the big names to have presented awards to Stoke Park, and if anything, we’re surprised that they haven’t received more – but then again, the hotel itself is not a factor in these decisions.
Not only a fantastic place for a corporate getaway or client entertaining, this spa & hotel is also a brilliant place for a couple’s retreat or family getaway. Function Fixers can offer you the chance to enjoy Stoke Park in all its glory, but at an unbeatable bargain price.
The Harry Colt Golf Break includes a night in one the hotels luxury Superior Rooms, with a three-course dinner in the on-site fine dining restaurant. Then, in the morning, you’ll have the choice between full English and continental breakfasts, both of which are served in the breakfast room, which has far-reaching views of the grounds and beautiful 18th century décor. Then, after letting your delicious and very generous breakfast settle, you can all indulge in an 18-hole round of golf. We can book all of this at just £250 per person per night in November & December this year, or just £310 from now until October.
For something a little lighter, The Sunday Stay & Play offer allows you to one night’s accommodation with a Full English breakfast, 18 holes of golf per person, and complimentary use of the Tennis and Health Facilities. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool with hydro-electric tubs, a contemporary and well-equipped gymnasium, tennis courts, steam & sauna rooms, and a dance and fitness studio which offers sessions with professional personal trainers all day, every day. This deal comes in at just £125 per person, on the basis of 2 sharing a Superior Room. Extra massages and treatments can be a little pricey, but if you’d like to splash out a bit on a luxury spa break (or keep the non-golfers happy while you sneak off to the green), this is definitely the place to do it.
Both of these deals are incredibly good value. Usually, a Superior Room would set you back around £280 per night, and that’s without breakfast, dinner or golf. All the rooms have charming, traditional English manor house design themes, and come equipped with everything you’d expect from a high-end hotel – minibar, iron and board, Sky TV, Wifi, amazing bathrooms with both shower and bath, and ultra-comfortable beds. There isn’t a room without a view here, either – so you’re certain to get a great look at the grounds when you wake up.
Another thing that makes these deals so worthwhile is the chance to sample the food at Humphrey’s (the restaurant) at a barely-there price. Usually, you’d fork out (forgive the pun) around £30 for a main course here – and it really is worth it. The food is top quality, fresh and hand-prepared by passionate chefs, who are constantly striving to create imaginative seasonal dishes, and won’t let a plate out of the kitchen unless it is immaculately presented.
