Lord’s – Not jut a cricket ground, but also an accomplished events venue…

,

Lord’s is one of the most famous and loved cricket ground in the world, and is home to the Ashes U, priceless sporting memorabilia and legendary hallowed turf.  The possibilities, however, do not end at cricket.  Lord’s is an accomplished events venue, perfect for conferencing and private dining.  It is steeped in history and unmistakably British charisma, with outstanding architecture and a real sense of hospitality and worth.

There are a grand total of twelve spaces available to hire all year round at Lord’s:

Tave Meeting Rooms, 20 – 25

Newly refurbished, The Tave Meeting Rooms are on the second tier of the Tave Stand, with unrivalled views of the pitch, which you can enjoy in the open air at your balcony tables.

The Committee Dining Room, 60

The space here is perfect for private lunches and dinner parties.  It is an elegant and exquisitely fuished room, on the very top floor of the Pavilion, with fabulous views across this famous landmark.

Writing Room, 40 – 70

This light and airy space is neutrally decorated, and is perfect for private dining and smaller standing receptions.

J.P Morgan Media Centre, 50 – 100

This has to be the best seat in the house! Built to celebrate the year 2000, the Centre has now become instantly recognisable in the world of cricket.  It offers a rare opportunity for unconventional entertaining, with panoramic views of the ground.

Sir Pelham Waer Room, 50 – 100

This versatile space has a more mode, corporate feel to it, and is located between the Pavilion and the Grand Stand – with the best views in the house for a good game of cricket.

Harris Garden, 200

This gorgeous and fragrant English rose garden is laid out on the former site of a lawn tennis court, and is conveniently near the entrance to the Pavilion.

The Long Room, for 200 – 300 people.

This prestigious yet classically ‘club house’ room is decorated intensively with a huge variety of paintings, all of famous cricketers throughout history.

Museum & Film Theatre, 55 – 250

Here you will find the world’s oldest sporting museum, boasting an unrivaled and extremely rare collection of cricketing art and other memorabilia, and still remains perfectly laid out for a drinks reception!

Thomas Lord Suite, 130 – 500

Overlooking the Pavilion and the Harris Garden, this suite combines considerable style with ease of use. With natural daylight and open-plan flexibility, this deceptively large space can suit different sizes of groups for any event.

Nursery Pavilion, 350 – 1000

By far the biggest space to hire at Lord’s and indeed one of the largest in London, the Pavilion is contemporary yet charming wooden and steel structure, overlooking the Lord’s Nursery Ground – where the cricketers warm up before a match. The white interior allows you to display your colour scheme with maximum effect, and the outdoor terrace is perfect for summer afteoon cocktails.

Harris Garden, 200

This gorgeous and fragrant English rose garden is laid out on the former site of a lawn tennis court, and is conveniently near the entrance to the Pavilion.

Pavillion Roof Terrace, 250

Smart, cool and sophisticated, and running the entire length of the Pavilion, the Roof Terrace is a beautiful and airy space with a long balcony and hypnotic views over the ground.

Mound Stand Terrace, 350

To get a real feel for the action and atmosphere, you can be right in the middle of it all, yet in your own private space on the Mound Stand Terrace.

The Mound Stand Terrace is the only space out of the twelve that can only be hired on match days – the other 11 are available all year round for any kind of event. Contact Function Fixers to see about booking your reception, private function or corporate event at Lord’s!
