Longleat was the first drive-through safari park outside of Africa opened in 1966 and is owned by the 7th Marquess of Bath, although is now run by his son, Viscount Weymouth. Set in Wiltshire, it is 100 miles from London and easily accessible by road and public transport. Aside from the safari park, the estate offers excellent facilities for corporate events of all kinds.
Longleat House provides the perfect backdrop for the most memorable meetings and conferences, corporate days out and totally unique team building events. The world famous Safari Park has so much more to offer than a day out with the children. With a spectacular mixture of landscaped parkland, lakes and award winning attractions, the park and stately home can provide amazing experiences that your clients or team will remember for a very long time.
The opportunities for conferences, team building and corporate away days are endless and the events team is always happy to provide bespoke packages for any event.
The stunning historic house has elegant rooms which can accommodate up to 100 for meetings and conferences. It is also a spectacular venue for entertaining your top clients, celebrating a success or holding a gala dinner. The Great Hall has a high wooden-beamed Elizabeth ceiling which is perfect for a dinner for up to 100. There are also smaller rooms for more intimate private dining.
Longleat’s bespoke VIP experiences are simply amazing: impress your clients and colleagues with an experience they will never forget, including close-up encounters with their animals, tiger feeding and a champagne safari. Their packages last anywhere from 2-24 hours.
With over 900 acres of grounds, Longleat is the perfect choice for team building and adventure days. They offer a fab package which includes exclusive use of the corporate marquee, 2 course bbq lunch, event manager, fast track entrance and free parking.
As with all events at Longleat, you also have the opportunity to add extras such as a behind the scenes tour of the house, VIP experiences, exclusive jungle cruise and overnight accommodation at one of the beautiful boutique hotels nearby.
In addition to the excellent corporate facilities, the house currently has a special exhibition and a house trail to commemorate the centenary of the First World War. Here you will learn how the building was used as a relief hospital for ill or injured soldiers and see several original artefacts such as the hospital admissions register, old letters as well as part of the uniform worn at the Front by the young heir to the Longleat Estate, John Alexander Thynne. The exhibition and trail is open until 1st November 2015.
All in all, Longleat House provides just about everything that you could want for any event you are planning. They even offer a Seasonal package at Christmas time including the Festival of Light.
In our opinion, this venue is most definitely worth considering for your next event. Whatever the time of year, holding an event at Longleat House is sure to be a total success.
