Japanese food has taken the country by storm in recent years, and British tastebuds have quickly grown to love the flavours and inventive techniques that sushi and other traditional dishes have to offer. However, with so many Japanese restaurants to choose from, finding one that provides an exceptional dining experience along with top quality cuisine at good prices can be difficult. Our favourite is Kyashi, situated in the heart of Covent Garden – and within easy walking distance of the hotels and theatres of London’s famous West End.
Kyashi Restaurant has three dining areas, each with their own character and personality. You can enjoy the delicious, contemporary and authentic Japanese menu, which features exquisite starters, beautifully presented seasonal main courses, and mouthwatering desserts.
The White Room is the largest of the three dining rooms. It has a 1960’s retro meets year 2000 feel to it, with cream coloured leather seating, futuristic lighting and wall-to-wall fish tanks. Accommodating up to 60 guests, this stimulating room features state of the art audio-visual technology, and has played host to corporate presentations, launches and fashion events – but is equally perfect for a banquet of delicacies for your lucky chosen guests!
The Blue Room has a more tranquil and exclusive feel. The walls house a stunning 360 degree panoramic fish tank, which is alive with beautiful, colourful and well-kept tropical fish. This heavenly environment is a subterranean haven for diners, and the perfect setting for private special occasions or corporate dinners.
Over looking the kitchen, The Premium Dining Suite is something quite out of this world. Guests are able to watch the intricate preparation of their meals, as the kitchen’s skilled and expert team prepares each dish carefully yet flamboyantly. The cleverly designed curtained entrance to this space allows for the ultimate in privacy, as well as being alive with a constant sense of excitement and hum from the kitchen below. In no way is the presence of the kitchen overpowering – the venue have got the balance just right, so that you have a constant talking and focal point, but it won’t derive attention from how glamorous and exclusive this dining space feels.
For a real all-round flavor of the fantastic food on offer here, there are set menus available at incredibly reasonable prices – but overall, the food here is fairly priced, especially considering the completely novel and unusual dining experience that starts as soon as you walk through the door.
