Hiring musicians, artists and entertainers can be a tricky and long-winded business.  Naturally, creative people tend to be a little bit scatty when it comes to organising their time, and sometimes, dealing with bands and performers can be a real nightmare.

Music for London is a fantastic source of reliable acts that have perfected their craft and are 100% committed to what they do.  Much like Function Fixers, this site provides its services completely free of charge, and relies solely on the individual requirements of its clients to find the ideal act for their event.  Anything from magicians to belly dancers, classical choirs to heavy metal bands are listed on their database; and even the most unusual of requests can be met.

We’ve seen immaculately imitated tribute acts, but out favourite is probably the James Bond Band.  This is a 12-piece ensemble of exceptionally talented musicians, performing perfect versions of Bond theme tunes, along with a healthy dose of get-up-and-dance retro classic for variety.  Not limited but definitely themed, this band has real passion, and the female vocalist has the looks and voice worthy of 007 himself. The glittering, suited and booted brass instrumentalists give an energetic and infectious performance; while the classy and elegant string section bring an element of sophistication to the act.

Another fantastic thing about Music for London is their eye for authenticity.  Their Caribbean steel drum bands, Irish folk groups and Latin performers are proud to be representing their heritage, and you’ll be guaranteed a real flavour of culture at your event.  St Patrick’s Day will see real Gaelic performances, with none of this electric bass or backing track nonsense.  Burns Night could be the perfect opportunity to hire a kilted bagpipe player who actually carries a tune rather than a bag of dying cats, and the Chinese New Year can be celebrated with fantastic displays of paper dragons and stunning oriental music and dances.

If you’re hosting a themed event, a fabulous array of acts is yours for the choosing.  Genuine vintage costumes, an in-depth knowledge of the historical and cultural factors, and an outstanding ability to transport your guests to another world is carried out by performers who are 100% committed to the moment.  All the acts that Music for London have on their books need to audition, and there couldn’t be a better man for sorting the brilliant from the boring than Titus Raj.

The founder and Senior Booking Consultant at Music for London, Titus has an MA an Entertainment Law and a BA in Music Business.  He has a real eye for talent, and a wealth of experience in booking acts that meet the specific requirements of his clients.  PJ is his assistant, and he specialises in sourcing ethnic music for weddings and cultural events – with a particular knack for accommodating Indian receptions.  Christina is the Director at Music for London, and handles all the admin and finance of this ever-growing and progressive company.  Having only three people on the team means that communications very rarely suffer mishaps, and you’ll get to know these charismatic and passionate people well during the booking process.  Always giving excellent customer service, you can have full confidence that the team here will exceed your expectations – as well as getting you the best deals possible for hiring your entertainment.
