Stunning banqueting hall in London with gardens

Middle Temple Hall is a stunning London wedding venue, built between 1562 and 1573 and remaining virtually unchanged to this day.  This beautiful building survived the Great Fire of London and both of the World Wars, and still continues to service London’s legal community today.  It’s just a few minutes walk from Fleet Street and Embankment, and has wonderful views of the Thames, yet offers a secluded environment for lavish private events.

The Hall at Middle Temple is one of the very finest examples of Elizabethan architecture in the UK, with a wonderful double-hammer beamed roof carved from the dark oak trees of Windsor Forest.  Hire includes all of the fuiture needed for a wedding breakfast in banquet style, and you have a rare opportunity to light the candelabra for a characterful focal point.  The oak panelled walls are laden with Coats of Arms, and the enormous windows are forged from heraldic glass memorials to the famous historical legal figures that have passed through, studied and worked here. 

There are two elegant and intimate spaces with a wedding and civil partnership ceremony license – the Parliament Chamber (seating 75) and Queen’s Room (50).  If you’d prefer to marry in a Church, there are several options for you nearby in this historic part of the city. 

The spectacular landscaped gardens can accommodate a marquee for up to 700 guests, overlooking the Thames and with enviable views of the gardens and the Hall itself.  A truly unique backdrop for photographs, this achieves the perfect balance between English country manor wedding, and sophisticated city celebration.
