The Queen’s Arms Inn
Berkshire, Berkshire (RG17 7ET)
Lambourn’s horse racing heritage is such that that the Queen’s Arms doubles as an unofficial headquarters for British racing where at any time of the day owners, trainers and jockeys can be found discussing the day’s sport helped in no small way by the Queen’s investment in a mobile phone booster giving it the only reception in the valley.
The Queen’s Arms is passionate about retaining the heritage and traditions of the countryside and this is reflected throughout the inn from the fresh, seasonal menu to the exceptional sporting opportunities that can be arranged for guests.
Above all, the Queen’s Arms aims to make its customers feel at home whether popping in for a pint, enjoying an evening of fine food and wine or escaping for a few days away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
The Queen’s Arms features eight beautifully designed rooms all of which offer sumptuous beds and Egyptian cotton bedding, state of the art bathrooms and flat screen televisions. Each room has been designed and named by a different sporting partner – choose Hunter with its iconic history of the wellington boot or Holland and Holland where images of exquisitely engraved guns line the walls. Other rooms include the London outfitters Farlows and Cordings and the fishing themed Hardy and Orvis rooms.
