A marquee wedding is quintessentially English.  During the summer, it’s a fantastic way to spend your big day – and it deserves a beautiful backdrop.

Lyveden New Bield is the garden lodge belonging to Sir Thomas Tresham.  It is incomplete, and makes a truly dramatic backdrop.  Overlooking fields with woods behind it, and in the very heart of the Rockingham Forest, this venue is surrounded by a stunning Elizabethan moated garden and acre upon acre of wildflower meadow.

This unusual structure was designed and built from 1595 to 1605. Originally, it was intended for entertaining guests, allowing them to soak up the views out over the estate.  It remains virtually unaltered to this day, and now provides a stunning backdrop for wedding receptions.

A firework display is made all the more beautiful against this awe inspiring building, and the venue have reliable contacts in the industry to ensure your party goes off with bang.   Also, marquee hire is made incredibly easy with the venue’s wealth of experience in organising events.  A diverse range of fuiture is available, suiting just about any kind of taste and style.

Photographs will come out beautifully against the blooming cherry blossom trees, or indeed anywhere else in the extensive gardens.
