The imposing exterior of this striking 1930s building, is an immediate talking point, but once indoors, Senate House presents itself with an elegant combination of opulence and flexibility. The adaptable large open spaces have hosted corporate events for up to 450 delegates, art exhibitions, award ceremonies and dinner dances. Its purpose-built rooms and easily accessible breakout spaces allow conferencing to flow seamlessly, with top quailty 21st century technology plus fantastic technical support, an excellent caterer and a stylish environment.
There are 13 rooms available here both large and small, and a dedicated event coordinator will be there to guide you through your event – from planning and execution, to supporting communications with services and contractors. The Foyer and Crush Hall is a handsome example of art deco chic, and boasts marble floors and walls, a magnificent ceremonial staircase, and direct access to two large breakout rooms – making it both a tasteful and highly practical space for larger events and weddings. On the other end of the scale, The Senate House Meeting Rooms are able to hold between 12 and 30 people, and have attractive views over Montague Place and the British Museum. All of these smaller rooms are well equipped, neutrally decorated with taste but no fuss, and have access to the Corporate Café – which serves up fresh coffee and light bites throughout business hours.
