Before this site became the famous O’Neill’s Wardour Street, the history of the building is fascinating bursting with memories.
Once known as the Flamingo Club in 1960, the famous Georgie Fame recorded the night Train right here…
In the 70’s it then became known as Whiskey – a – go – go. Where the infamous James Brown and Kool and the Gang played the night away to audiences going wild. Then came the 80s and 90’s and The Wag Club arrived in 1984, the incredible David Bowie shot the MTV Video “Blue Jean” in this very building
Then here we are, O’Neill’s took over this amazing venue in 2001 and has continued to keep its musical soul with live music every single night over two floors!
