Lio London
Formerly known as Café de Paris, this lavish event space, famous for legends like Judy Garland, Josephine Baker, Prince, Frank Sinatra, and Grace Kelly, never ceases to impress. With its grand sweeping staircase and the iconic mezzanine balcony that offers a bird’s-eye view of the bustling main ballroom, Café de Paris has entered a new chapter as Lío London, poised to maintain its status as one of London’s premier destinations for theatre, dining and corporate gatherings.
For exclusive hire, the space can be flexible in layout whilst still maintaining an intimate feel. The mezzanine level provides an aerial, panoramic perspective of the ballroom below, accommodating up to 160 guests. Descend the iconic double staircase to the ballroom floor, where you’ll encounter a movable DJ booth and a retractable stage. When the stage is elevated and ready for use, the ballroom can comfortably seat 156 guests or hold up to 450 standing. Lower the stage, and the seated capacity increases to 196, with a standing capacity of 550. The entire venue can host 250 seated guests or accommodate 700 standing.
Open to the public on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, Lío also offers semi-private sections for groups of up to 50. At Lío, guests are treated to an unparalleled experience that combines a captivating show, exquisite dining, and a vibrant nightclub atmosphere, uniting guests, performers, and the team to craft an unforgettable evening. Building upon its successes in Ibiza, Mykonos, and Las Vegas, Lío London presents a unique collaboration of world-class singers, dancers, and international artists for an evening of diverse and electrifying performances.
Lío’s Mediterranean inspired menus have been created by former Kensington Palace executive Chef, Attila Kalanyos, assuring an explosion of fresh flavours and unique combinations that match the performance perfectly. Our (almost) show stopping wine list is superbly curated by wine aficionado Romain Audrerie, formerly at Chiltern Firehouse.
Whilst this is a new era for the venue, there are many familiar faces that remain. With members of the events team, production, performers, and operations team having worked at Café de Paris, not only are you in experienced hands from enquiry to execution, you will be working alongside those that have known and treasured the venue for many years.
