Salters Hall
London, Central London (EC2Y 5DE)
The Salters’ Company offers Banqueting and Conferencing facilities in the City of London. Whether you are hosting a banquet, conference, dinner or wedding reception, the opulence of this unique venue provides the perfect setting.
Salters’ Hall was opened in 1976; it is the sixth residence of the Company and replaces the previous Hall, which was destroyed by fire in an air raid in 1941. Sir Basil Spence designed the Hall with interior design directed by the late David Hicks.
Its modern premises include an ash panelled Banqueting Hall, Committee and Court Rooms, a small Dining Room, office accommodation and a beautiful Garden. The Hall commands a fine view over London Wall and St. Paul’s Cathedral, and is one of the only Livery Halls in the City to have been built in a more contemporary style.
All spaces are air-conditioned and wireless access is available throughout Salters’ Hall.
The Salters’ Garden was designed by the late David Hicks, who was also partly responsible for the interior design of Salters’ Hall. The Garden is available for private hire from April to September. It makes an ideal setting for drinks receptions prior to dinner, conferences or lectures. It is also a beautiful setting for wedding receptions.
The Main Hall is a magnificent room with ash panelling throughout. It can be used to host luncheons, dinners, banquets, seminars, wedding receptions and many other types of events.
The most prominent feature of the Hall is the high ceiling which lends itself to superb acoustics – ideal for conferences, lectures and musical evenings. The Hall is reached via a large Foyer area and there is also an Ante Room off the Main Hall, which can be used for drinks receptions on arrival
