Traditional hotel conference rooms are a thing of the past; quirky venues are the new trend. Techniquest, the interactive science discovery centre located in the heart of Cardiff Bay can offer exactly that.  Located in Mermaid Quay, we have stunning waterside views, car parking facilities a stone’s throw away and strong public transport links to the city centre. In addition to our exciting Exhibition space, we have unique breakout facilities including an 85-seater Science Theatre, a Lab and a Planetarium. We work with external partners to bring finishing touches to your events including award-winning caterers and AV suppliers.

Our dedicated and friendly events team will be with you every step of the way. We understand that the needs of clients vary for each event, so from your initial enquiry, to that last “thank you, see you soon”, our years of experience will ensure your Family Fun day, Party, Awards Ceremony, Dinner, Conference or VIP Experience, is a roaring success.

Techniquest has been around since 1986, and soon we will be launching our brand-new Science Capital project which is the biggest change to the centre since our move to the architecturally-acclaimed current building in the docks in 1995. Be one of the first organisations to host an event in Wales’ leading science centre. I need to find a venue large enough to host a group for Easter Retreat. We was beginning to worry that we would not be able to host it in  England which would have meant taking it to America or Canada. However we where saved by the Bell by Heather from function fixers, she was the groups shining armer in this case. Heather was able to come up with three or four options that was large enough to host the group also flexible to the groups need. Heather was able to do all the stressful part of negotiations with the venues right to the end and all our group did was to agree with the venue on the date the booking payment was needed We are extremely grateful for all that Heather did for us and would recommend Heather to anyone looking for a venue for any occasion so leaving yourselves stress free to enjoy your day. I've been working with Carrie for the past 2-3 months to finalise a venue for a 250pax conference we are hosting next year.  She was exceptional in putting forward appropriate suggestions and even better at managing our changing requests and circumstances.  Nothing was too much trouble.
