The Barbican
The Barbican is Europe’s largest multi-arts and conference venue presenting a diverse range of art, music, theatre, dance, film and education events. It is also home to the London Symphony Orchestra.
The heart of the Barbican’s banqueting facility, the spectacular Conservatory, is quite spectacular. This lush, tropical oasis is home to finches, quails, exotic fish and over 2,000 species of tropical plants and trees.
Overlooking this magical setting, and with views of St. Giles Cripplegate and the fountains of the Lakeside Terrace, is the banqueting suite, the Garden Room. An elegant dining area which can be sub-divided for smaller parties, the Garden Room is stylishly decorated with eucalyptus burr panelling embellished with bronze and silvered glass.
Together with the Conservatory Terrace high up in the glass roof of the Centre, they form a stunning backdrop for cocktail receptions, buffets and formal banquets. The menus too, are equally as inspiring. Much thought, care and imagination goes in to the creation of the dishes we serve and, of course, only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. And, whatever the size of the event, you can count on attention to detail and impeccable service.
The renowned Barbican Hall plays host to events ranging from university graduations to AGM’s as well as international orchestras and performers and can accommodate up to 1943 guests. For slightly more compact events, Barbican Theatre, with its excellent acoustics and production facilities, makes an ideal venue for product launches and seminars.
The Barbican also offers a range of conference facilities for smaller events ranging in capacity from 10 to 280 delegates. Seating from 153 to 280 delegates, the three Barbican cinemas are well-appointed comfortable auditoriums suitable for the most sophisticated presentation. In addition, seven smaller conference suites can be used for board meetings or used as syndicate spaces for larger events.
