There has been a Chequers bar on Old Street since 1869. Under new management, the Chequers bar has been re-established as an inner city escape offering quality, value and a quiet energy.

Refurbished in November 2009, the new owners have created an intimate experience which is now one of London’s hidden gems. The Chequers bar offers a personal touch, where the owner of the bar is the man behind the bar.

If you are having a party, birthdays, Hen/Stag, Corporate, Engagements etc. then The Chequers Bar is the place for you as it offers weekend exclusive hire and no minimum spend or no hire fee!

I've been working with Carrie for the past 2-3 months to finalise a venue for a 250pax conference we are hosting next year. She was exceptional in putting forward appropriate suggestions and even better at managing our changing requests and circumstances. Nothing was too much trouble. We have just signed on a venue and we are delighted. Highly recommend!
