The University of Manchester Conferences and Venues offers a range of AIM accredited venues in truly inspiring Nobel Prize winning surroundings-a University that is world renowned for excellence in learning and innovation, making it the perfect choice for meetings and events.
With 25 Nobel prize winners, a history of world firsts and brilliant discoveries, from splitting the atom to giving the world wonder material graphene, our venues will inspire your delegates, challenge and empower them to ask the big questions.
Our portfolio of historic and contemporary venues provide you with the versatility to host any size of event from 2 to 1000, whether it be an away day, training course, association conference, function or drinks reception. The University is also a popular filming location.
Many of our venues are available for hire year round, and located within close range of Manchester’s city centre & Piccadilly train station for easy, convenient access for delegates. They include Manchester Meeting Place and the Barnes Wallis building, for 6 to 200 delegates, the Core Technology Facility, a contemporary meeting venue for up to 140 and the majestic Whitworth Hall or Manchester Museum offering stunning backdrops for dinners.
During vacations, we have fully equipped lecture theatres, capable of hosting physical and hybrid events, they include the Renold Building seating just over 500 delegates & University Place for 1000 delegates, both venues also provide syndicate rooms and exhibition space.
The University is a leader in social responsibility, with sustainability sitting at the heart of all that we do. We are committed to food sustainability and reducing food miles and we have an experienced and knowledgeable Media Services Team who continually deliver sustainable technology options for our events, supported by high speed WiFi connectivity.
Our dedicated in house Conferences and Venues team work closely with our catering, Media Services and IT teams across the University, to ensure the successful delivery of all events and the health, safety and wellbeing of your delegates.
