The Wallace Collection
Manchester Square, Central London, W1U 3BN
Situated off Oxford Street in the heart of London’s West End, it provides a spectacular setting for entertaining. The Collection’s home, Hertford House, is a palatial London town house occupying an entire side of a tranquil garden square. In the twenty-five galleries are unsurpassed displays of French 18th Century paintings, furniture and porcelain together with superb old master paintings by Hals, Rembrandt, Rubens, Velazquez and Van Dyck.
The Wallace Collection’s beautiful glazed Courtyard is the ideal setting for spring and summer parties and events.
Bright, airy and open, the Courtyard has the feeling of being outside in the sunshine but has the security of being warm and covered should the weather turn. With its amazing architecture and Mediterranean feel it is the ultimate garden-like space to entertain your guests in the spring and summer months.
The museum has a number of spaces available for hire. The contemporary Courtyard can accommodate dinners for up to 160 or drinks receptions for 300, while the opulent galleries are suitable for smaller dinners for up to 60 guests or drinks receptions for 160.
Drinks receptions can be held either in the main galleries or the courtyard. For seated dinners, pre-dinner cocktails are served in the main galleries. Drinks are followed by dinner downstairs in the light and airy courtyard, where guests can also enjoy dancing. This dynamic space is enclosed by a soaring glass roof to make it a perfect venue throughout the year.
