Treasurer’s House
York, North Yorkshire, YO1 7JL
Indulge yourself in the history of Treasurer’s House. This award winning attraction in the heart of the ancient city of York boasts a 2,000 year history, a warm welcome and impeccable service for your wedding. Built over a Roman road and on the site of the home of the Treasurers of York Minster, this elegant townhouse was rebuilt by visionary Yorkshireman Frank Green, who owned the house from 1897. Ceremonies can take place in the Great Hall. A spacious room overlooking the elegant walled garden and containing 17th-century furniture, pictures and textiles, it makes the perfect setting for your wedding. The splendid interiors are matched by the Gothic architecture of York Minster, just a few metres from the private walled garden, an oasis of tranquillity in the centre of the city.
