Aldwark Manor Golf & Spa Hotel is a lavish 4 star hotel in York, set in a grand Victorian house, built by lord Walsingham as a wedding present for his daughter- lucky girl. We’ve added a new extension that tones in from the outside, but gives a dramatic contrast inside between charming historic architecture and ultra modern interior design.

Some bedrooms are in the old manor (where you might meet the ex-boyfriend of Lord Walsingham’s daughter, who seems to have taken up residence). Reached by climbing the rather spectacular central staircase, they’re styled with a real sense of grandeur. The rest of the rooms are in our contemporary wing, subtly styled to exude sophistication and glamour.

The extravagance continues in our restaurants. The Terrace is a relaxed bistro style restaurant with a lovely terrace for sipping early evening drinks. But we’ve really gone to town with the main restaurant, The Brasserie, whith a carefully thought out menu and an inviting atmosphere.

To compensate for encouraging you to over-indulge, we’d like to over-indulge you some more, with a trip to our wonderful spa, our superb gym and our fantastic golf course, which will charm you with its views while it challenges you with its tricks.
