London Museum at Smithfield
The new London Museum at Smithfield is set to become one of the capital’s most exciting and distinctive event venues. Housed within the beautifully restored Victorian General Market, this remarkable new destination combines London’s rich history with contemporary design, creating an impressive setting for corporate events, gala dinners, awards ceremonies, product launches and large-scale celebrations.
At the heart of the museum is Our Time, a magnificent central hall beneath the market’s restored dome. With its soaring ceilings, original Victorian ironwork and impressive architectural features, this spectacular space can accommodate up to 1,000 guests for a standing reception or 750 for a seated dinner. Its flexible layout also makes it ideal for conferences, exhibitions, fashion shows and ambitious event productions.
For something a little different, Real Time offers a striking, industrial-style space with contemporary digital displays and excellent branding opportunities. Accommodating up to 500 guests for a standing reception, it works particularly well for drinks receptions, brand activations and networking events. The space connects directly with Our Time, allowing organisers to create larger events across both areas.
The museum’s Past Time galleries offer another dimension, with opportunities for exclusive evening access to exhibitions exploring London’s fascinating history. These atmospheric surroundings provide an unusual backdrop for VIP receptions, networking and corporate hospitality.
For larger occasions, exclusive hire of the General Market can accommodate up to 1,500 guests, with dedicated event management and audiovisual support available to help bring events to life. The venue also offers excellent opportunities for creative lighting, staging and branding.
Located just five minutes’ walk from Farringdon Station, with convenient access to the Elizabeth line, Thameslink and London Underground, the London Museum is exceptionally well connected for guests travelling from across London and beyond.
