Carrie Larwood
Managing Director
Carrie Larwood is the founder of Function Fixers and has more than 35 years’ experience in the events and hospitality industry.
Over the course of her career, Carrie has helped companies, event planners, PAs and EAs find venues for everything from small board meetings and training days to major conferences, product launches, awards ceremonies and corporate celebrations.
Her extensive knowledge of venues across London and the UK has been built through decades of working directly with venues, visiting new and established event spaces and handling real client briefs. She understands that finding the right venue is about much more than capacity and location; it means considering budget, accessibility, delegate experience, catering, AV, logistics and the practical details that can make or break an event.
Carrie founded Function Fixers to make venue finding simpler, faster and more personal. Rather than expecting clients to spend hours contacting individual venues, the Function Fixers team uses its experience and industry relationships to identify suitable options, check availability and negotiate competitive rates on their behalf.
Carrie remains closely involved with the business and regularly shares her venue knowledge through Function Fixers’ Venue Finding Advice Centre, venue guides and Venue Finder’s Notebook, offering practical advice based on first-hand industry experience.
Her approach is straightforward: listen carefully to the brief, recommend venues that genuinely fit and give clients impartial advice to help them make the right decision.
Carrie’s areas of expertise include: conference and meeting venues, corporate event venues, training and away-day venues, product launches, awards ceremonies, private dining, unusual and creative venues and venue sourcing throughout London and the UK.
Carrie’s Venue Finder Insight: The best venue isn’t necessarily the most impressive or expensive – it’s the one that works best for your event, your guests and your budget
