The Battersea Barge was built in Holland in 1932 and set sail for France to be used a a grain barge. In the 1970s she was brought across the Channel and renovated for a brief spell as a permanently moored restaurant. In 1985 she was towed along the south coast to her current mooring on the Thames in Nine Elms, Battersea.
