Chavenage is very suitable for functions, weddings, dinners and lunches. We can accommodate up to 300 people, with seating for up to 100 people for meals and conferences in the Ball Room.
Chavenage does not charge a corkage fee, clients are requested to arrange for the preparation and serving of all drinks. Chavenage does not hold a drinks license and so does not allow for pay bars to be set up. Please note that the house is normally open to the public on the following day.

Chavenage is an Elizabethan house of mellow grey Cotswold stone that has remained virtually unchanged for 400 years. Only two families have owned Chavenage and it is still a family home with tours usually conducted by the present owner. Of particular interest is the Main Hall with its stained glass windows, the Ballroom and the Oak Room with its elaborate panels. The house has been used for many films and television programmes and featured in the BBC´s costume drama ´Lark Rise to Candleford´.
