Homewood  stands as a fine and welcoming country house and one of the leading hotels in Bath and the West Country. Surrounded by 10 acres of award-winning gardens and woodlands the hotel is only 6 miles from the centre of the Georgian City of Bath and 20 miles from Bristol. Conveniently located just off the A36 the extensive grounds offer ample parking for our guests.

Although the main part of the building is Georgian, with some Victorian additions, the foundations of the original building date from the thirteenth century, when we believe the house belonged to the Abbot of the nearby Carthusian Priory. The Priory may be seen in the direction of Hinton Charterhouse village, across the A36, but unfortunately it is not open to the public.
