Spread across three colourful Georgian townhouses in Fitzrovia, the Mezcaleria bar sits above Wahaca’s bustling Mexican street food restaurant below. A relaxed and vibrant venue, the bar is a quirky alternative to the corporate hotels and bars of London’s West End and an answer for that tricky task… ‘find a venue that’s a little different!’.

Lesser known than its more infamous counterpart tequila, mezcal is another of Mexico’s native spirits, distilled from the same agave plant but with a distinctly smokier flavour. The Mezcaleria stocks one of London’s finest collections, all 100% pure agave and well worth a taste. The tempting cocktail menu has a range of fruity margaritas, mezcal and tequila based concoctions, and some original Mexican twists on other classic drinks, developed by the in-house bar team.

Suave brown leather upholstery with flashes of bright colour make the décor in the Mezcaleria lively and dynamic, and a big light installation gives the bar a twinkling charm.
