The eponymous Momo – creation of celebrated restaurateur Mourad ‘Momo’ Mazouz – first opened on Heddon Street in 1997. Influencing an era of Moroccan travel and introducing ingredients such as couscous to mainstream dining, to this day Momo combines fragrant North African cuisine with luxurious decor to offer a relaxed oasis in the heart of central London.

Once a celebrated celebrity hotspot, Momo has since evolved into a well-respected and much loved culinary institution. Bringing traditional Maghrebine and Mediterranean techniques and flavours to a modern audience, Momo offers a menu of tempting tagines, time-honoured pigeon pastillas, couscous, and fragrant, smoky meat dishes freshly prepared on the Josper.

Situated on Heddon Street, moments from the buzz of central London, Momo offers a peaceful refuge throughout the year. In summer, the welcoming terrace creates a tranquil al fresco retreat on which to enjoy cocktails and light bites, while in winter warming rugs are provided for guests wishing to sip mint tea under the heaters. Next door, the Mo’Cafe is an eclectic treasure trove – bursting with colourful lamps, mirrors and Moroccan tiles – in which to indulge in an afternoon tea complete with Maghrebine pastries, melting cheese briouats and scones served with fig jam.

The speakeasy cocktail bar ‘Downstairs at Momo’ offers an extensive list of signature cocktails in the hushed atmosphere of this rock n roll venue.
