Guests approach the house up a grand drive, lined with clusters of daffodils in the spring, they are given an impressive first glimpse of the grand country house.
The walled gardens not only provide an exquisite backdrop to wedding photography but are a wonderful setting for guests to enjoy the romantic ambience.
The Nuns garden with its two water features and a large magnolia tree providing welcome shade in the summertime, and is an idyllic space to hold a drinks reception while the Vine Room is being prepared for dinner. Through a wooden door another garden is discovered, with its sunken central lawn, mature fruit trees and multitude of scents. Herbaceous beds border the lawn filled with rosemary, lavender and bay leaf trees. Mistletoe entwines apple and plum trees’ branches, and discreet lighting illuminates the foliage, while overhead spotlights make evening use of the garden possible. A small paved area provides the ideal space for musicians to serenade a drinks reception.
