Facilities available

We have two formal meeting rooms on site, as well as, a beautiful timber framed Great Hall for functions and events:

• The Markendale Room is in the East wing, one of the oldest parts of the building.  This intimate, formal boardroom can accommodate up to 10 people.  The room is peaceful and has a great mix of the old and new.  It also has splendid views and private access out across the new timeline walkway in the garden.
• The Radclyffe Room was built in 1639 and has been stripped of layers and layers of paint to expose the original brickwork.  The room can be laid out in a number of formations and is equipped with a screen that can be used as an interactive whiteboard or for showing presentations.
• The Great Hall was built in around 1512 and one of the earliest and most impressive timber-framed halls in the UK. The room is perfect for celebratory events and presentations to around 60-90 persons and can be equipped with a screen, projector and sound system

Availability  

The meeting rooms at the Hall are for hire from 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday – Friday and Sundays 12.30pm-4.30pm. Evening or Saturday hire can be arranged on request when possible but may incur additional costs.. The Great Hall is available on Fridays and Saturday Whole venue hire is available on request. Please contact us for details of availability and costs.  

 Parking

The Hall car park is 100 metres from the entrance. We have 48 spaces (including 5 spaces for blue badge holders).  Please note that parking charges apply (£2.50 for up to 3hrs, £5.50 for 3 – 6 hours). We are wheelchair accessible as a venue.

Tours of the Hall

Guided tours for up to 20 people can be arranged (subject to availability) for before or after your meeting (or during your break for lunch). Prices range between £3.50 and £7.00pp please let us know if you would like us to arrange a tour.

 Team Building

We do offer Team Building add-ons of 1 -2 hours for before or after your meeting or event. These include the SCL Boot Camp, Helly Hansen Water sports, Climbing, Tai Chi &Yoga in the Gardens and Drumming and music sessions using our services within Salford Community Leisure.
