In 2013 Queen Mary, University of London unveiled a £6.3m refurbishment of this much-loved art-deco building to mark the 125th anniversary of the original People’s Palace, home to the Great Hall.

Located in the heart of east London and originally opened in the 1930s, the Great Hall has seen the likes of the Rolling Stones grace its stage, which is one of the largest in London.
