The Rhum Tavern is our ode to The Goonies, a cinematic inspiration brought to life with old-world soul. Hidden just moments from Oxford Circus, the bar is imagined as the hull of The Inferno, a pirate ship that blends the spirit of the 1650s with a touch of nostalgic 80s adventure. It is a place where folklore meets fantasy, serving signature cocktails in bespoke glassware within a warm, welcoming escape.
Our team is dedicated to sharing our passion for rum, hospitality and comfort. We guide guests through new discoveries and beloved classics, ensuring every visit feels memorable. From the first sip to the glow of candlelight at the end of the night, the Rhum Tavern celebrates the romance, character and atmosphere at the heart of great rum.
We offer three hire options to suit events of all styles and sizes. Our Captain’s Quarters seats up to 50 guests, or you can combine it with the Back Ship area for a total capacity of 80, complete with a private bar hidden behind a secret bookcase door. Prices begin at £1,500 for the Captain’s Quarters, £3,000 for the full Back Ship and £6,000 for exclusive venue hire. All costs are based on minimum spend only, plus a 12.5 percent service charge. Guests have complimentary access to our 65 inch TV screen and speaker system for presentations, karaoke or screenings. We can provide music, DJs and live bands, or you are welcome to bring your own entertainment. Our bespoke canapé menu can be tailored to any request, ensuring every event is as personalised as it is memorable.
