Merchants House of Glasgow is an impressive historic event venue overlooking George Square in the heart of Glasgow city centre. This Grade A listed building combines beautiful period features with modern event facilities, offering a distinctive alternative to a traditional hotel or conference centre.
The magnificent Grand Hall is the venue’s largest space, accommodating up to 200 delegates theatre-style, 120 cabaret-style or 130 for a banquet. For smaller events, the elegant Directors Room can accommodate up to 80 theatre-style, while the James McCune Smith Room and Lord Dean’s Room provide useful options for meetings and breakout sessions.
The Merchants House is particularly suitable for conferences, meetings, training days, presentations, private dinners, receptions and corporate celebrations. Conference organisers also benefit from AV equipment, free Wi-Fi, catering options and event management support.
