The Octagon Centre
The Octagon Centre is a well-established, multi-purpose event venue located on the University of Sheffield campus, just off Glossop Road with excellent transport connections and 600 parking spaces nearby. It’s ideal for a wide range of occasions, from corporate conferences and awards ceremonies to concerts, performances, meetings and exhibitions.
At the heart of the venue is a large, eight-sided auditorium offering flexible configurations — seating up to around 1,230 guests or accommodating up to 1,800 standing for live events — with an open floor area of approximately 870 sqm. Whether you’re planning a keynote session, a gala dinner, a trade show or a live music night, the space can be adapted to suit your event needs.
Complementing the main hall are a range of breakout and meeting rooms under one roof, perfect for workshops, smaller sessions or team gatherings, with capacities from around 20 up to 80 delegates. The venue also benefits from a modern technical infrastructure, modular staging options and expert on-site support from the experienced events team to help bring your event to life.
