The Spread Eagle Hotel & Spa
Midhurst, West Sussex (GU29 9NH)

Originally a coaching inn to the visiting aristocracy, The Spread Eagle Hotel & Spa in the historic village of Midhurst dates back to 1430. Walking around the hotel is like a journey through time, with its 15th century lounge warmed by huge fireplaces, stained glass windows, oak beams and Tudor bread ovens. All 39 bedrooms are individually designed and The Queen’s Suite is said to have accommodated Elizabeth I.
Of The Sread Eagle’s 6 function rooms The Jacobean Hall is the largest, accommodating 90 guests for a dinner and 40 boardroom style. The Polo Room with its high vaulted ceiling and natural daylight is a perfect environment for seminars.
