Venue Visit Notes: Our First Look at London’s Newest Conference Space
One of the best parts of our job is visiting new venues before our clients do.
Photographs and floorplans tell you a lot, but they never tell the whole story. You only really understand a venue once you’ve walked through the front door, explored the meeting spaces and imagined how an event would actually flow.
This week, we visited one of London’s newest conference venues, The Line, and these were our first impressions.
The first thing that stood out wasn’t the meeting rooms—it was the atmosphere. The venue feels modern, bright and refreshingly different from the traditional hotel conference environment. It has the kind of relaxed, contemporary feel that encourages conversation before the event has even started.
We always ask ourselves one question during a venue visit:
“Can we picture our clients hosting a successful event here?”
In this case, the answer was yes.
The main event space is flexible enough to work for conferences, presentations and networking events, while the breakout areas feel like places where delegates would genuinely choose to spend time rather than simply wait for the next session.
Another thing we noticed was how naturally the venue flows. Registration, refreshments and meeting spaces all connect without delegates feeling like they’re constantly moving between separate areas. It sounds like a small detail, but good flow can make a huge difference to the overall experience.
Would we recommend it for every event? Probably not—and that’s exactly the point.
This feels like a venue best suited to organisations looking for something contemporary, collaborative and a little different from the traditional conference hotel. If your event relies on creativity, discussion and networking, it has a great deal of appeal.
Our First Impression: ★★★★★
Best suited for: Conferences • Meetings • Networking • Product Launches
What stood out: The natural flow between spaces and the relaxed, contemporary atmosphere.
Who we’d recommend it to: Organisations looking for something different from a traditional hotel conference venue.
Every new venue has its strengths, but the ones that stay on our shortlist are those that combine practical event spaces with an environment people actually enjoy spending time in.
The Line certainly made a positive first impression, and we’re looking forward to recommending it for the right client brief.
