FAQs
-
What is a function room?
-
A function room is a private space that can be hired for an event, meeting or celebration. Function rooms are available in hotels, restaurants, conference centres, historic buildings and dedicated event venues, and can accommodate everything from small private gatherings to large corporate functions.
-
What types of events can I hold in a function room?
-
Function rooms are extremely versatile and can be used for conferences, meetings, training days, awards dinners, networking events, private dining, birthday parties, Christmas parties and other corporate or private events. The best space will depend on your guest numbers, preferred layout and the style of event you are planning.
-
How much does it cost to hire a function room?
-
Function room hire costs vary considerably according to the location, size of the room, date, catering requirements and facilities included. Some venues charge a room hire fee, while others offer packages or minimum-spend arrangements. Comparing the total cost rather than room hire alone will help you identify the best value.
-
How do I find the right function room for my event?
-
Consider your guest numbers, budget, location, catering, AV requirements, accessibility and preferred atmosphere. Function Fixers can search suitable function rooms on your behalf and provide a tailored shortlist based on your requirements. Our venue finding service is free to use, saving you the time of researching and contacting venues individually.

Victoria Webb68 days agoAs a venue we've worked with Function Fixers for a number of years and they've always been a pleasure to work with. The team send well-qualified briefs with all the information we need, which makes it much easier to respond quickly and put together the right proposal for their client. They're also great at keeping in touch throughout the enquiry process. Communication is always friendly and straightforward, and you genuinely feel like they're working with you rather than just sending enquiries out and hoping for the best. From a venue perspective, it's great to work with an agency that understands the importance of building good relationships with its venue partners.Posted on Google
